How to increase humidity in the home

Home Depot have been trading long enough to come up with plenty of tips and tricks to make your hoke happier in many ways. One big tip is to use a We Are Coupons Home Depot Coupon to save money online at Home Depot. One trick that many American living in drier states have a problem with is how to increase humidity in your home.  Here are some drop dead simple ways to boost the humidity in your home

Invest in a Humidifier

One really obvious solution to increasing the humidity in the home is to invest in a humidifier. These little machines are fantastic and really affordable.  Easy to operate and highly effective in humidifying single rooms a handful of low cost, efficient humidifiers can bring the moister back to the air you breathe and make your dry home feel really very comfortable.

Hang Your Laundry

For those with OCD this will drive you nuts, but it does work. A great way to add some humidity to the home is to dry your laundry indoors.  Don’t shoot me down for suggesting this, hanging laundry everywhere can look untidy but it does increase humidity quickly and easily. This is really worth a try.

Shower Openly

We don’t like our bathrooms getting damp and thus we install extractor fans. To really bring some humidity into the home let the steam flow form the bathroom and shower a little more openly. Open a window if you must but letting the steam flow lets allows the humidity to increase. Yes, this is another somewhat crazy idea but it does work.

Sponges

Sponges soak up water they don’t release it… right?  Wrong!  Soaking some sponges in water and leaving them to dry around the house can boost humidity levels fast. Use different colors and shapes of sponge and these can become decorative humidifiers and rather fun!

Water

Water is the foundation of humidity and whilst it may not be ideal leaving a few pales of water around can increase humidity.  Another crazy idea?  Yes, but it works.

Thankfully, we don’t all have the issue of needing more humidity but for those who have this problem all this works. If these ideas don’t quite do it the best idea then is to install a swimming pool and simply dive in and soak yourself. Again, it is may not be for everyone but it sure does make you wet!
